Will my dog live...

let me explain myself... I happily took my puppy to visit my parents, and my dad and I walk out to the barn to look at the horses.

Normal visit home.

My dog is froliking around as usual checking out the horses, smelling poop piles and sniffing in the snow. I aid my dad by leading a horse in from the pasture and as we walk into the barn, my happy little dog face meets the bottom side of a horse hoof. Needless to say it all happened so fast she didn't even yelp. Just laid there in a little seizing pile. I threw the horse in its stall and ran back to grab her before dad and the next horse walked in on top of her.

My dog was dead.

Both my dad and I were pissed at the horse, but we picked up Eva (my dog) and she kinda let her little head roll around like a baby who can't hold their own head up, TOTALLY out of it, BUT her little heart was still beating.

Good sign.

I took her into the office of my parents store and just held her together for a minute as we tried to figure out if she was dead or if there was any real sign of life in her eyes.

Then she took a deep breath and sighed.

Woo Hoo. She started to blink and over the next 30 minutes began to come too and look around, I set her down in a little dog bed and we watched her gain her senses. I have personally seen 3 other dogs get kicked. 2 lived. 1 was just knicked no big deal, the other was kicked in the face as well and it's eye popped out of it's head. The vet put it back in, but it kinda wandered for the rest of its life. CREEPY.

We waited to see where the swelling would start, but it never did. A little blood dripped out of her nose, but nothing else. No soar spots, no nothin'. HHmmmmmm My little dog might make it.

So we went home.

So we wait. I am confident I do not have a dog with special needs as she is very alert, and tried playing with me and Seth. I do however think she is very soar... puppy whiplash maybe, but she was knocked out cold. Not sure what it feels like to come out of that.

So we wait.

I hope she lives... and no Murphy I did not cry. My dog is great, but animals die all the time. I might cry if Seth cries about it.

Welp, hope this doesn't sound morbid, just figured I would explain this story sooner or later.

I think she's gonna make it.

Nothing to do

This is my summer of change... I am not responsible for summer camp for the first time in a long time. So I get to play with horses and me wrangler staff. They are all pretty rad... I like them

Welp, I have not left a message here for a while... I apologize to those of you who care and have checked up on me here, I am very bad at this type of thing... pretty recurring theme. This summer was great!!! New Frontiers rocked it out again with only a few gliches. I got a new puppy too. Her name is Eva (Pronounced AVA) I've been able to ride horses a little more recently which always makes me happy.

But seriouly let's talk about my bed... I think it is too soft. I wake up almost every morning with a backache and it sucks. Maybe I am too stressed out. I do however, not have as many sore days when Seth is not in my bed... which is rare that he is not in my bed cuz we are married... but the few times he's been gone I sleep happily sprawled out on my queen bed of joy. This week we, switch it out with our guest bed which is a lot firmer and see what kind of damage it does.

so... no that you've seen into the depth of my post summer life   -    TTFN

Toilets

So... in the world of toilets you really only see two kinds. The 'round' and the 'oblong.' I thought my little life went in the toilet the other day... funny, my question has been which kind? Not so much will someone save me? Let's review the toilet... we all like it. It started as a round safe thing, then evolved into the luxury of the oblong saving many people from peeing on the front of the seat, ok I believe it was more ergonomically correct but I enjoy the visual of peeing on it. I am sure that things will be fine, somehow God always gives me peace, but I do not like having things tossed around. The beautiful thing is that the oblong toilet gives you more room, which handily will allow me to grow more.

Hmmm.

I sure hope I do not get tossed in one of those french butt spraying toilets because nobody likes taking it in the cornhole.

Fierce...

I am hoping that one day I will be called this word. (and not by the losers I work with and that will read this and then call me it) I decided that when I grow up, I am cool with people being intimidated or afraid of me. I hope that I act with such passion about everything I do that people think twice before they step in front of me.

I hope to speak my mind, pursue more than a working knowledge in all I do and speak with such confidence that nobody questions where I stand.

of course... most people will be unable to get past 'intimidating' to recognize fierocity (I may have just made that word up)

BANDWAGON: I think that being truly intimidated by another person is not the other persons fault. I truly believe that when someone is comfortable with themselves they cannot be intimidated by another person.

Maybe one day... maybe one day.

I've got a lot of work to do.
